How do mompreneurs spoil themselves? Paulash’s Pau Del Rio shows you how

Fresh out of labor for her firstborn Loti, mompreneur Pau del Rio scheduled a hair day at the luxury hair atelier Benibana. In a now trending TikTok video, Pau showed the full routine she had which included the foliage, hair color, and grand linkage treatment.

One of the first things that she noticed is how the atelier did not overwhelm her senses. While salons usually reek of ammonia and other harsh chemicals used in their treatments, the Paulash owner and CEO said she could breathe without the usual nausea she has come to associate with hair salons.

Only with the Benibana did she truly feel pampered because of the professionalism, attention to detail, and care provided by the Benibana staff. She also praised the upscale interior design, light gaiety of her stylists, and the overall relaxation she felt throughout the process.

Asked about the price tag, Pau credited it to the premium service, experience, and results achieved with Benibana. Admittedly, she was one of those customers who was embarrassed to express her dismay when she would come out of a salon.

But there was no need for that with Benibana, said Pau in an interview. “You really get what you pay for,” she added while showing the impeccable similarity between her peg and the outcome of her hair.

It’s more than just a haircut

On why she invests so much in hair treatments, Pau said that it is not simply hair but an experience that enhances her confidence and makes her feel empowered for far longer after her visit to Benibana.

“You can always buy yourself something expensive like jewelry or luxury bags but hair is something that you can’t take off at the end of the day so for me, hair care should be paramount. I don’t cut back on this and I’m very happy that they achieved what I wanted.”

As a businesswoman with a full schedule, the efficiency of the stylists is also something she appreciated. What would take 8 hours in a normal salon was done within 4 hours at Benibana.

“I’m a new mom so I know I have to manage my time better. The extra hours that I would spend in an ordinary salon can now go to quality time with my family.”

For someone like Pau, carving out a space for rest and relaxation is important because taking care of herself means she can better take care of her loved ones.

“I’m thankful I found the place that is well worth their price. From their products, service, ambience, everything is top tier—and that makes all the difference.”
