Don’t have an idea what kind of nails you want? Continue reading this article to know more about the nail trends this 2023!

As you should bestie, here are the nail trends that you should try this 2023:

  • Subtle Chrome Number one from the list, is the subtle chrome. It is also one of the most recent nail trends on Instagram and TikTok. Chrome is usually being used as a visual effect to mimic the metallic materials reflecting and glossy appearance. Chrome nails have a particular uniform shine that sparkles when polished, although they are less sparkly than glitter or micro-glitter.
  • Clean Girl Nails – This Clean Girl Nails is currently one of the most popular nail trends. It includes a neutral nail color, either a sheer wash or a shade that harmonizes beautifully with your skin tone. Combined with perfectly groomed cuticles and a short, rounded nail edge. And don’t forget to use moisturizing cuticle oil for that super-glossy finish. It anticipates basic manicures that display flawlessly polished, healthy nails.
  • Modern French – French manicures will be extremely thin, natural, and barely noticeable. The focus is largely on the delicate white tips that give hands and nails an elegant, expensive appearance. The traditional square nail design is swapped out for a softer, more understated round or almond shape in this manicure, and the French tip is delicate and slim rather than wide and more defined, especially if painted in more subtle tones of cream rather than the typical white tip.
  • Accent Nails – Accent nails are ideal to spice up a standard manicure. Whether it is on traditional red nails or when nude. You can also add glitter, a floral pattern, or any other motif on your one or two nails. You can add each nail with a small crystal as a dot or a line of glitter hugging the cuticle.
  • Metallic Nails – Metallic nail piercings and other jewelry-inspired designs are also popular in 2023. This is typically suitable for longer nails since it is ideal for piercing with a dangling diamond to truly make your nails pop. In order to maintain the focus on the accessories, it should also be partnered with a plain and simple clean manicure.

  • With Lighten Up, you can try a brighter hair experience all from the comfort of your own home! Bleach your hair to achieve the color of your dreams.
  • We’ve included the essentials so you can DIY the bleaching experience, but please note that it’s always better to have your hair bleached by a professional stylist.

First things first!

Before bleaching, please make sure to prepare your hair properly. If this is your first time, we recommend consulting with your stylist first before trying at home.

What you’ll need:

  • Kit inclusions
    • Brush
    • Ear Caps
    • Mixing Bowl (300ml)
    • Bleach Powder (50g)
    • Developer (100ml)
    • L'Oréal Superbond Additive (8ml)
    • L'Oréal Superbond Treatment (16ml)
  • Optional
    • Old clothes and/or towels
    • Shower cap and/or hair clips
    • Lukewarm water
    • Timer

Preparing your hair

  • For previously treated or processed hair, we recommend waiting 3 months before bleaching.
  • To make sure your hair is well moisturized, deep-condition with masks at least twice a week for 2 weeks before bleaching.
  • The night before bleaching, soak your hair with coconut oil to help prevent significant protein loss and heavy damage.

Bleaching your hair

  1. Make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting bleach on! You can use an old shirt or clean towels to cover your shoulders and neck.
  2. Next, part your hair into sections using hair clips you have on hand and use the ear covers provided in the kit.
  3. Remember to put on the protective gloves before mixing and bleaching your hair. Use the brush provided to mix our ingredients.
  4. To make the hair bleach, pour ½ of the bleaching powder and ½ of the developer in the bowl provided. Mix until it’s a smooth cream. Then, pour ½ of the additive into the bowl and mix it into the cream.
  5. By using half of the ingredients, you can save the remaining products to mix as a second batch after your first application.
  6. Take one section of hair and use the brush to apply the bleach starting an inch away from the roots. Make sure to apply the bleach evenly to the rest of the sections, leaving the roots for later.*
  7. After the first application, let the product settle. Wait 20 minutes, then start mixing the remaining ingredients to make the second batch of hair bleach.
  8. Now, apply the second batch evenly to the roots of your hair. Once done, let the product settle again, this time waiting 10-15 minutes.
  9. After a total of 35 minutes with the bleach, rinse your hair thoroughly with cold water, then towel dry. Apply the treatment on your towel-dried hair, then wait for 10 more minutes.
  10. Finally, rinse your hair thoroughly once again to remove all of the remaining products.

*If irritation occurs, please discontinue use. If symptoms persist, consult your doctor.

Caring for your hair

  • Please avoid heating or styling your bleached hair for at least two (2) weeks.
  • We recommend using natural or organic hair products. Chemicals can cause damage to your hair, especially after bleaching.
  • Consider using toner for your bleached and colored hair. You can use purple, sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner to help neutralize unwanted undertones.
