New Hair, New Year Benibana Beauty Hub

I have been planning to change my hair color for the longest time and luckily just a few weeks ago, I was finally able to make time and visit a hair salon. I’ve been hearing lots of good reviews about Benibana Beauty Hub especially because it was highly recommended by my friend. Charlene. I went to the salon without any pegs whatsoever, so I just let the hair stylist do his magic and he definitely did not disappoint. 😉

I brought my favorite iced coffee (c/o, my Dad) and ordered Bacon Mushroom Carbonara at Flossom Kitchen + Cafe which is located just in front of Benibana Beauty Hub. 🙂

I waited for almost five hours because of all the procedure we had to do: wash off my old hair color (effect: it turned my hair into dark brown/close to black) then we bleached the bottom part of my hair and inserted some light blonde highlights, washed my hair with treatment so it won’t break apart, applied mushroom brown hair color and washed again. While I was waiting for my hair color, I decided to get a facial as well. I had the Vitamin C + Placenta Facial (costs around Php 1, 500). I liked it because of the placenta mask! My face felt so fresh and relaxed after the treatment. But I wasn’t allowed to wear any make up or any skin care products for three days after my facial so if you are planning to get this facial, make sure you don’t have events, dates or occasions for the next few days.

I really love how my hair turned out. I love that it’s not so loud and too vibrant but gives away a bit of my personality at the same time. I was a bit hesitant to get a lighter hair color at first because of the nature of my work (I work in a Pre school!) but aside from my work place being so diverse, open minded and lenient, what I love about it the most is the chance they give us everyday to be ourselves and that’s also one of the reasons why I’m starting to learn to accept who I am day by day.

Alongside the unexplainable confidence that my new hair gave me, it also boosted my self esteem and opened my mind to a lot of things, things that I was afraid to do before like take risks and jump to the unknown (ie. what my hair will look like after). Since I’ve always been the type of person who likes to plan things and is obsessed with calculated outcomes, visiting the salon without any plan, peg or idea in mind was truly a big jump for me.

Overall, I loved my first salon experience at Benibana Beauty Hub and I surely will be back for my next hair color maybe after a couple of months. 🙂 I’d really like to commend their Senior Hair Stylist for doing such a great job with my hair.
